Shoes

If nothing else (literally), you must have good shoes.

iPod

Anna loves to listen to Blair's iPod with him. She even dances and bobs her head to the music.

Deja Vu?

Anna - Age 10 months (May 2007)

Nathan - Age 10 months (February 2009)

My kids must really take after their dad. What other explanation could there be for such obvious genius in both of them?

For Grandma

This is a very cute dress Anna got from her Grandma Niederhauser for Christmas. Grandma wanted to see what it looked like on her, so here it is. Whenever Anna gets her picture taken lately, she puts her chin up in the air when you tell her to smile. Most of her pictures lately have been like this one. And don't ask me why she's standing on the kitchen counter. Blair took the picture.

Getting Bigger

I went into Nathan's room the other day, and he had pulled himself up onto his knees in his crib! This may not sound too exciting to some, but it was his first time, and I was very excited and proud of him! He now does it every time I put him in his crib. We finally had to raise the side up so he would settle down and go to sleep.

Asher, Aunt Kascia, and Anna

Blair's brother Travis and his wife Kascia stayed with us this weekend while Travis brought a horse to sell at the San Antonio stock show. Blair took Anna to the show Friday night, and she had a blast looking at all the animals and playing with her cousin Asher.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here are the flowers Blair sent me for Valentine's Day and the cards we exchanged. Saturday night we watched a movie and had chocolate fondue. I have included the very simple and delicious recipe below.
EASY CHOCOLATE FONDUE
2 packages (12 oz each) semi-sweet choclate chips
1 package (12 oz) milk chocolate chips
1 pint whipping cream
Melt chocolate chips in sauce pan, stirring constantly. Heat whipping cream in microwave until warm but not hot. Slowly add cream to chocolate until it is the right dipping consistency. Ideas for dipping: fruit (we used strawberries, bananas, and apples), cut up angel food or pound cake, marshmallows, pretzels, anything you would dip in chocolate!
I only made half the recipe, and it was more than enough! You can also refrigerate or freeze leftovers and just melt it in the microwave later.

Alan Jackson

We got to see Alan Jackson perform at the end of the rodeo. He is even better live than he is on the radio!

San Antonio Rodeo

Blair and his funnel cake (a staple at all fairs and rodeos)

Bringing in the flags

Bronc riding

Mutton Bustin'
(4 & 5-year-old kids riding sheep - One of the cutests things I have ever seen!)

Horse-drawn wagon

Barrel racing

Bull riding

Nothin' says Texas like a night at the rodeo. I even experienced my first horse show! (All you Lybberts understand the significance of that.)

Party Time!

Anna the piggy

Decorating cupcakes

Eating our creations

My boys

My cute family

Big hug (Nathan drooled on Anna's head)

Tyson the birthday boy!

Anna's friend Tyson turned two last week, and we went to his birthday party. The kids had a blast dressing up like Word World characters and decorating cupcakes.

Sleepy Boy

The other day I found Nathan sleeping like this. I just thought it was precious.

Double Stroller?

After a long morning of outlet shopping, Anna decided she didn't want to walk anymore. The result? Both kids went into the carseat in the stroller. Good thing they're both small.

Basket Case

I don't even know what to say about this one.

We had a little haircutting party yesterday, and Nathan got his very first haircut! Sharon was a very patient haircutter, even though she cut hair on five rowdy boys!
